I have seen a few different teepee formations while out in the woods. Some very small and some have been huge with whole trees placed in the ground--small end pointing down in some cases. Can someone give me more insight on what the teepees mean and if different teepees have different meanings? Thanks!

all tree formations are different, and all have different meaning, and we are in need of studying this, even as such as marking the pointed trees and putting them on a map as coordinates, this is also a very important way of mapping bigfoot,
Yes different shaped Tee pees are used for different things by them. I would really need to see pictures of these to tell you which are used for what. But here are just a few examples of what some of them are and what their use is.
The males when trying to impress a female will build the tallest largest darn tee pee you could imagine. These will be made out of trees that are twenty feet tall or more and the entire tee pee will have a tree in the center that is still rooted with the lower limbs broke off to above their heads. These will be nearly total enclosed except on one side an little space between the other trees forming the tee pee.
A female will make a type Tee pee that has one dead tree with the limbs still attached turned upside down where the rest of the trees are right side up in the formation for her to get under when she needs cover from rain and other elements. These are not usually over eight feet tall in nature.
If you find little tee pees that are only around three or four feet tall that may be five or more of these in one localized small area this is a pretty good indication you have stumbled upon a child's learning area.
These are just three examples, there are many more.

Jan

Thank you for the reply. I've been curious and I know this information will benefit others, also. :)

In some of our research here in VA, we have noticed that some structures seem to point to another...sort of like a directional type device. We actually located several more structures by simply following the general direction of the longest stick or tree in the structure. We are currently studying more on these.

Jan is going to view the thread on your Forum Billy and add her response to what they mean.

Through the years searching the woods for Forest Folks. I have come upon some tee pees, markers, and small and big X.
I love to study pictures of all those mention above. I want to tell you about the strange one. The bad thing is I did not take my camera that day going to my mother to mow her yard in Roan Mountain, Tennessee. I live in Mohawk Tennessee and have a small property .
I took Interstate-81 to go to Roan Mountain from Bulls Gap area. Some miles from that Bulls Gap area there is a field I like to look at because a pretty tree is there all by it's self. It looks pretty and green in that field.
That day I went to Roan Mountain. I happen to look for that field with pretty tree in middle. BUT there was something leaned against that tree. A big dead tree with all limbs still on and it's root still on. The root was placed a top and leaned against the tree at perfect 45 degree. That is too bad I did not had my camera that day. UGH Went to Mom to mow and made plan to come back that way when I get home to get my camera.
The next day about 2 o'clock I went there to take some picture. UGH my luck it is gone both of the trees. I took the next exit off and at a service station saw State's dump truck full with sawn log and that green tree sawn too and an other truck pulling trailer and backhoe and a pickup truck.
One thing is clear to me the State seem to know more than they make out to it.
Several years back it was requested that Rodney, another research and myself investigate a case that was circulating in Lafayette, TN. I think it was dubbed the Swamp Ape is loose in TN. I know that Loren Coleman also investigated some of these sightings or had his brother and some other researchers with him do so. Loren called it the Swamp Ape.
Anyway, here we all took to Lafayette to do our initial investigation of these alleged sightings and happening. Me being the typical me at the time didn't think to carry my camera or even stop to pick up a one time use camera from the store. Needless to say I didn't get any photos.
On our way in I noticed out in this lonely stretch of wood right off the main road in on the left hand side this unusual looking HUGE tee pee. I mean this thing was every bit of thirty feet tall and the trees in it were also. But there was two things about it that really stuck out in my mind. One the fact that three of these large trees were upside down in the formation and had the roots sticking up in the air. Second there was another very long limbless tree balanced smack dab in the center on top that points east to west with the big end pointing west and the small end pointing east.
We did our investigation of the area and interview of the witness. Then on the way back out I looked again and there it was on the right hand side still sitting as pretty as you please out there in the middle of no were right near the road, that HUGE TALL TEE PEE. If the one FF or the family of FF that built that thing were half as large as that tee pee I don't think I wish to meet them. But how the heck a normal 11 foot tall FF would get that very large log that had to be pretty heavy up there on top like that perfectly balanced is beyond me. Maybe it stuck out so much to me because there was snow on the ground and in the trees at the time we did this investigation. I know there were ice cycles hanging from the log and the formations trees and snow on all. Impressive and fascinating were not the words for it.
Yours,
Jan
Jan,
I understand you a little better now. It was La Follette, Tennessee not La Fayette which is somewhere in Middle Tennessee.
I did not see that thing you and other researcher saw. I drove there by myself and meet you and other at the witness's house. It was a pretty snow days so full and blanket beautiful. Can see miles in all directions.

Jan, the large teepee formation with some upside down trees and the nearby balancing tree sound familiar to something I have seen--I took pictures. They are on Myspace.

I was logged into MySpace and I am also a Friend of AllSmiles on MySpace. She may have settings secured. Maybe she will allow Public to view her profile so we can all see her pics. Or she could post them in our Bigfoot Drawings and Photos Forum. Sorry Joep for my bad!!
