WILLIAM H. CONARROE'S STORY

February 17, 2007

Hey Tom,
This is the story as told to you by William H. Conarroe on our phone conversation.
As Bill told You, This encounter took place in Playas, New Mexico In Late 1998 or Early 1999, It has been a While.
As Bill told You, He worked for Phelps Dodge Railroad Department Doing Track Maintenance and repair. In Or Around June of that year it was a fairly warm day. Bill went out to check the tracks for wear or breaks. About a Mile from the Playas Plant He saw a Strange carcass lying in the middle of the track. He had passed this carcass for a few times not really paying much attention to it because he was use to seeing dead Mountain Lions and the like that had been hit by the train. On this morning It was a different story. Something about the carcass did not look right. He could see what looked like human ribs under the hair on the body. He also noticed that this creature had hands and feet that looked human not Paws. The head of the creature was round and flattened inward, not a protruding snout. The Eyes Were Black and Round and about the size of a quarter. This creature was only about three feet tall and you could tell that it Was a Baby not an Adult creature. It Was covered with hair that was about five inches long matted and covered it's whole body. The hair was thinner around the chest and face of the creature a dark brown in color.
At this time Bill figured that he should tell someone about what he found. He was not able to take a picture of this creature because Phelps Dodge does not allow cameras of any kind on their property for personal use. Bill felt very strongly about having someone to be witness to what He had found. He went back to the Plant to find His Partner Ed Fisher. Bill then took Ed back out to the site where the creature Lay. First Thing Observed Was That the creature was not Run Over by the Train. Evidently it had fallen from one of the Ore cars. Ed examined the creature and came to the same conclusion as Bill! This was not like any other creature they had ever seen. Ed is an avid hunter for many years and has seen just about all kinds of the native animals in the area. Ed further stated that this was no bear cub or an animal named The Cotamunde or any such other infant. They thought to come back later and pick up this creature but upon thier return the carcass was nowhere to be found. Both men came to me with this story and I bilieve them. As I have known them for a great deal of time. Both these men and I also believe that what was seen on the tracks was a "BABY BIGFOOT"!
