An interview with Donato Artiaga
Donato emails me one day asking me about my experience and commenting on my youtube site. He tells me that had posted a report on a bigfoot site and provides the information to find it. I read his report and soon understand that his sighting appears to be close to where I had cast tracks in April. I talk with him more and we decide to meet. I tell him to draw the face of the individual that had seen and any other things he would like to draw about the subject. I meet him at a local Dairy Queen and he brings many pictures along to include a watercolor painting he had made of the area. Looking at the photo of the face it is very familiar, it looks human with ape features or visa versa. He tells me that he never felt threatened and that he felt that it was just curious of him observing him from a distance. He tells me of the events that preceded his sighting in detail. He takes me to the site and it was then that I realized how close we were to where I had found the tree marking, it is only 300 yards away I can see it from where he stood. He tells me of other sightings from other people some talking of a dogman, a big hairy human body with the face of a dog. Donato grew up in this area and has seen it change over the years, he provides a lot of information to me. I tell him of where I am going to look next based on my interpetation of the last trackways. He decides to accompany me for the journey. We will head out this saturday. The following video is of the interview with Donato. He captures the serenity and curiosity understood from them in his artwork. It was a pleasure to have captured this interview.
