In Ohio, at Salt Fork State Park, May 1-3, is the 21st-Annual Ohio Bigfoot Conference/Expo, the longest-running consecutive Bigfoot conference in the United States. Speakers for this year's event will include Diane Stocking, Billy Willard and Monsterquest producer Doug Hajicek. Full information can be found at http://www.eobic.net The second event is the once-in-a-lifetime Yakima Bigfoot Round-Up, May 15-16, at Running Springs Ranch in Naches, Washington. Speakers and guests will include Bob Gimlin, Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Dr. John Bindernagel, Russian researcher Dmitry Pirkulov, Derek Randles, Kathy Moskowitz-Strain, Christopher L. Murphy and an analysis of the Patterson/Gimlin Film by Special-Effects Makeup Artist William Munns. Musical entertainment will be provided by Tom Yamarone, Paul Graves and Lil' Liza Jane. I attended two Bigfoot events this year, The 22nd-Annual Ohio Bigfoot Conference/Expo, which was attended by over 670 people(!) and featured as speakers and guests Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Tom Yamarone, John Horrigan, the Sasquatch Sleuth Larry Lund and the one and only Bob Gimlin. My full detailed report on it can be found at http://22ndannualohiobigfootconference.blogspot.com While in Ohio, I stayed with my good friends Nancy and Bernie Snodgrass at their home in Follansbee, West Virginia and ate excellent Mexican food at a restaurant in Steubenville, Ohio, hometown of Dean Martin. It was GREAT!!! I also attended the First-Annual Oregon Sasquatch Symposium, which was attended by about 210 people, which had as speakers Autumn Williams, Sali Sheppard-Wolford, Dave Rodriguez, Jaime Avalos, Jeff Meldrum, Thom Powell, Kathy Strain, Esther Stutzman, Cliff Barackman, Ron Morehead, R. Scott Nelson and Bob Gimlin. That report can be found at http://oregonsasquatchsymposium.blogspot.com At the OSS, a Johnny Cash soundalike named Lenny Green was the musical entertainment. He sang several original Bigfoot songs, all of which can be found at www.bigfootsong.com I also stayed with Darin Richardson and his girlfriend Erika Kronenberg while in Oregon, and got to go to the beautiful Oregon Coast. I tried Thai food for the first time, went to the Oregon Waxworks and Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museums in Newport, Oregon and ate at world-famous Mo's in Newport (world famous for their delicious clam chowder). It was a BLAST!!!
