Hi, my name is William Mayes and I live in Alabama. I have believed for some time that The Hairy Giants or "Bigfoot" as they are whimsically called, are people. I don't particularly care for the term "Bigfoot". I usually call them "Hairy Giants" or "Men of the Woods".
I have never seen one, personally, but I think there is certainly enough evidence available to convince any reasonable person.
I find it incredible for anyone to look at the Patterson film and see an ape. Patty is obviously (to me) a large hairy human. She may not be homo sapiens but she is close. There are a lot of reports that indicate that these cratures can talk. For instance, on BIGFOOTENCOUNTERS.COM, there is the story of the "Zoobies"(Bigfoots) where the police officer being interviewed by Matt Moneymaker (of bfro.net)mentions that one of the Zoobies was heard to say "Here chicky, chicky" after hearing a woman calling her chickens.
If the Sierra Sounds recordings are not fake, which I do not believe, then these creatures can talk and carry on a conversation. If you haven't listened to these recordings then you are missing a great experience. There are other examples too numerous to mention.
I am actually a skeptical kind of guy. But I believe in the Hairy Giant(and other Hairy People). You would have to be ignorant of the evidence available, or not have any confidence in your own judgement to not believe. What I am skeptical of are people who believe in only what some "Authority" tells them to believe even when said "Authority" may not know what he is talking about.
I like to draw and I have drawn a number of pictures of the Hairy Giant and posted them on my Personal Web Page at att.net. I call my web page The Hairy Giant</a. I am not all that great of an artist but if anyone wants to see some of my pictures here is my URL:
